Hi again, Halo Pack!
The latest Halo App update allows you to request your pup’s location on-demand by tapping the ‘Refresh’ button on the My Map screen. Now you can always access your pup’s current location, as long as your phone and collar are both connected to the internet.
To refresh your map and request your dog’s location, simply tap the Refresh button with the two rotating arrows on the right side of the My Map screen.
Learn What’s New
Your Halo Collar reports its location to your Halo App at 15 second intervals when not connected via Bluetooth (Bluetooth connection allows for live tracking). Previously, tapping the Refresh button would have resulted in your Halo App displaying the most recent location data that the collar had sent on its own.
Now, when you hit the Refresh button, your Halo App instantly requests new location data from your Halo Collar, regardless of how recently the collar last self-reported its location. Halo gives you the control at your fingertips to request your pup’s most up-to-date location!
How To Activate It
To use this feature, please ensure your Halo App is up-to-date, and that your Halo Collars have firmware version 0.2.22 or later.
Once you have the most recent app and firmware versions, you can use the Refresh button to request your dog’s current location on-demand. This tool is particularly useful when Bluetooth live tracking is not an option because you are not with your dog.
We hope you enjoy this new feature and the peace of mind that comes with your pup’s location being just one tap away. We look forward to hearing your feedback!
Cheers,
The Halo Team
